Promote your school
With SchoolWeb you have your own website hosted under a domain of your own choosing, such as www.ourschool.ie. Using our easy to use web-based administration tool you can easily update your website content. There are special features for maintaining your school news and projects page, and you can also have a number of free-form pages that you can use for whatever purpose neccessary. The number of pages is dependant on the package chosen.
This website can be used to detail events and activities in your school and keep parents and the community in general up to date with whats happening. It can also be promotional in aiding a parents and/or students decision on the school they would like to attend.
Email for your school
SchoolWeb offers a managed email solution, including virus checking and spam control. How you use your email is up to you. With the basic package it would be useful for general school administration, e.g. principal@school.ie and secetary@school.ie. With more advanced packages email addresses could be assigned to every teacher, or indeed to every student. There are limitless applications to what can be done with email and it would be a great advantage in distance learning and co-operation with other schools.
Community involvement
SchoolWeb can bring the community into the education of a child. This is available in the Gold package. It allows for parents to be notified by email and/or SMS as to their children's progress in school, this can include things like abseentism, slipping academic performance or indeed improving academic performance. There is also the possibility for disciplinary updates. It is a two-way system though, parents can also email/text in with queries and or notifications such as sick days.
