Q: What do I need to use SchoolWeb?
A: All you need is an internet connection and Internet Explorer to access the SchoolWeb application.
For your email you can use Outlook, Outlook express or your preferred email client.
Q: Do I need to know anything about web site design to use SchoolWeb
A: Not at all, SchoolWeb has been designed specifically so that you don't need any
technical knowledge of websites.
Q: Does SchoolWeb provide web-based email?
A: Not at the moment, but it is planned in the future.
Q: Is SchoolWeb good value for money?
A: Yes, we think so. It would usually cost thousands of euros to get
a web site professionally designed and have your web site and email hosted.
In addition you'll be getting tailor-made software that help in the running
of your school.
Q: Can I have a custom designed site outside of the facilities provided by SchoolWeb?
A: Absolutely, but there will be a charge dependant on the requirements. Contact sales@schoolweb.ie for more information.
Q: Can I upgrade my package at a later date?
A: Yes, you can easily upgrade your package at any time. Contact sales@schoolweb.ie for
further information.
Q: How long does it take to setup a SchoolWeb package?
A: One working week would be the usual for a standard setup.
Q: What do I do if I run into problems when using SchoolWeb?
A: You can submit a ticket to our helpdesk system at helpdesk.schoolweb.ie
or send an email to support@schoolweb.ie. Phone support is currently unavailable.
Q: How do I pay?
A: You can pay by posting a cheque, direct debit or bank transfer.
Q: Why is there an annual fee?
A: This is to cover ongoing use of the SchoolWeb application, support and trouble shooting services
and hosting and monitoring of your web site and email. This is standard.
Q: Can I split the payment over the year?
A: Yes, you can pay quarterly or monthly if you prefer. Contact sales@schoolweb.ie for more information.
Q: Can I try before I buy?
A: Of course, there is an online demo which can be accessed at
admin.schoolweb.ie.
